Month of Letters Challenge

A la jjhunter and syntaxofthings , I am participating in the Month of Letters challenge. \o/

My letter-writing supplies have kind of gotten buried, so I am going to find a nice quiet spot for them to live. Soon. And also, I am going to write a letter a day.

P.S. I caught up on my two letters way more easily than I  thought I would, and tomorrow is Sunday so it doesn't even count as a day-day so it's a perfect time to catch up! *g*

I stumbled across that a while back and decided that while I would like to do it, I really can't this year. But hey, I tend to mail a letter a week anyway, so that's something! (weirdly got a phone call yesterday instead of a return letter from the grandparents. um, part of the reason i write is to stay in touch without phone calls.)

*nodnod* A letter a week is a good thing! And I totally understand about the time thingamajig. Maybe something to play with in a non-official month, maybe not. Who knows? I might try to do so again in August if I enjoy it this time, because August in my area is awful.

I have a nontraditional month off July/August (mostly August) between fieldworks that ... well, idk where I'm going to be, but it seems like a good time for me to do that. It's like, I've gotta spend that time studying for boards, and even looking for jobs/housing in places I want to be (and a couple in fallback locations, i.e. where I don't have to pay large rent to live with family) (though one of my top choices is very close to a cousin who probably would let me stay for a couple weeks if i need to have extra time to find an apartment or whatever, now that i think of it; i should cultivate good relationship with her*), but that's not a full schedule by any means. So! Perfect time for some letter-writing.

*not that we have a bad relationship. just maybe i will stick her into my regular letter-writing rotation. instead of just holiday cards & facebook. which would be nice anyway and also in line with my intention of getting to know her kids, now that they're old enough to have more personality than scream & poop.

Wow, my brain is so fried today I had a weird moment of having no idea what you were talking about when I read this. It was only five hours of work today, but wow, it killed me.

Um, still kind of brain dead. This evening I managed to remember about this, find a postcard, write a postcard, and at one point I thought, "Oh! I wonder if Liz would like a postcard... but I don't think I have her address." Completely oblivious to you posting that you also were going to do this. (Yeah, I'm going to bed after this comment. I still am not sure I've been totally giving myself time and space to heal.)

Would you like to exchange cards/letters once this month? ^o^
